When I set out to change our broken food system, I thought I’d do it from a farm or in my own independent grocery store - I didn't think it would look like this!
I got involved in food after real, whole foods healed my severe acne when harsh chemicals and pharmaceuticals couldn't. That experience sent me deep into the local food system—from farmer's markets to teaching cooking classes, to food sourcing and co-founding a pop-up grocery.
That grocery closed because we couldn't make the financials work. And I soon realized how many other good food businesses suffered the same fate despite amazing products and raving fans. How would we ever change our food industry if good food businesses can't succeed?
Through various roles in regional food a solution became clear: good food founders needed financial strategies unique to their business, not based on ‘industry standards’ or Fortune 500 playbooks, or competitor business models.
I founded Sarah Delevan Consulting in 2017, offering Fractional CFO and Consulting Services to help founders identify and execute customized financial strategies. Since then I've helped hundreds of food founders achieve financial sustainability through our "profitability by design" framework.

No, you can subscribe for a single month and cancel anytime. We want this software to be valuable and frequently used in your business so we hope you stick around, but we also want to alleviate the pressure of having to lock into a long-term commitment. Your business has its seasons and we want to make sure we’re here for you when you need us most.

We currently offer two tiers, one for Founders who are working toward the launch of their business “pre-launch”, and one for Founders who are actively “in business”. If you’re working toward your launch choose Tier 1, and if you’re actively in business, choose Tier 2.

Nope! Office Hours is an optional value-added service that brings together a community of food founders all using the software as they launch and grow to their first million in revenue, and provides you with the opportunity to get your financial questions answered by Sarah, 1-on-1 in a small group setting.

Unlike the software subscription, Office Hours subscriptions do not automatically renew. This ensures that you opt in for support only when you need it.

That means you’re an OG! Thanks so much for your support! You don’t need the software but it does offer some benefits above and beyond what the spreadsheets do— namely that in the software all of your data is connected, most find it easier to use than spreadsheets, and you get CFO insights from Sarah throughout. In the very near future, the software will also include brand new tools that were never available in a spreadsheet version.
