Sarah Delevan
I'm Sarah

When my own grocery closed because we couldn't make the financials work, it opened my eyes to how many other independent food businesses suffered the same fate — despite amazing products and raving fans. How would we ever change our food industry if independent food businesses can't succeed?

Through various roles in regional food, a solution became clear — and in 2017 I founded Sarah Delevan Consulting to help founders identify and execute customized financial strategies. Since then, I've helped hundreds of food founders achieve financial sustainability through our Profit by Design framework.

FAQs
How much does a partnership cost?

Partnership pricing and discounts vary based on the number of software subscriptions purchased and the custom package you build. Set up a call with Sarah to share your organization's goals and discuss pricing for your program.

Is there a minimum number of members?

There's no set minimum. A partnership might be five members with dedicated office hours, or a full cohort — it's built around your program. Discounts are tiered and increase with the number of subscriptions purchased, but even smaller groups can get custom support tailored to your organization.

Can we start with a workshop or a conversation?

Yes. The best first step is a connection call or a workshop to explore what fits your program and your members.

What's included for our members?

That's up to you! Our standard available inclusions are listed in the Custom Built section above — and we're committed to learning about your program and members and finding new ways to meet their needs and your organizational goals.

What does the partner dashboard show?

The partner dashboard is available to organizations that cover software subscriptions on behalf of their members and have their members' approval to share progress for coaching.

The dashboard shows each member's progress through the four key sections of the Profit by Design framework, their 12-month financial targets and progress toward them, the entrepreneur's stated financial goals and biggest challenge for clear coaching focus, and a notes section where Sarah and coaches can track wins and struggles for future sessions — all color-coded for at-a-glance understanding.

Can we use the data to report to our funders?

Yes. Aggregate, anonymized data is provided to partner organizations on an annual basis, and can be shared with funders and potential supporters to show your impact and opportunities.

Who can see our members' financial data?

Identifiable member data is only visible to Sarah and your chosen organization members.

We do not share or sell user data.

We do issue periodic reports using anonymized data across all users — to show impact, need, industry trends and benchmarks, and more — which all users consent to in our terms and agreements.

Is this only for food businesses?

Yes. The Good Food CFO software and coaching are designed specifically for food businesses — CPG brands, food service, caterers, independent grocery and retail, cafés and restaurants, bakeries, ranchers, fishers, and more.
